What is TianGong AI?

Skywork AI is a super intelligent agent and integrated AI workspace launched by Kunlun Wanwei. It has evolved from its initial forms of AI search and chat assistance to become an office platform centered around Deep Research, Agents, Skills, and multi-modal output; once users enter a goal or upload relevant materials, the system can plan the necessary steps, conduct research online, and generate outputs such as PPTs, documents, tables, web pages, images, videos, audio files, or podcasts.

TianGong organizes its capabilities into reusable Skills. In addition to the skills provided officially, such as those related to documentation, PPTs, Excel, searching, design, and music, users can also create their own skills and templates to turn repetitive tasks into standardized processes.

The new version includes Agent memory, expert skills, scheduled tasks, as well as SkyClaw’s cloud-based multi-agent team; its positioning is clearly different from that of the old version, TianGong AI Search.

Member and point prices

TianGong uses a combination of free trials, membership subscriptions, and point top-ups for billing. Free users can register and try out certain tasks; new users or those who participate in campaigns may receive points as a gift.

Documents, PPTs, tables, videos, professional models, and SkyClaw consume different amounts of resources depending on the complexity of the task.

In 2025, the old version stopped accepting deposits and offering refunds; thereafter, the new version of Tian Gong established a new membership system, and it was no longer possible to use the prices associated with the old membership scheme.

Skills and openness

TianGong has packaged certain documents, PPTs, Excel files, images, search functions, and music capabilities as Agent Skills.

The official Skywork-Skills repository contains skywork-doc, skywork-ppt, skywork-excel, skywork-design, skywork-search, and skywork-music-maker, and can be installed in Agent environments that support Skills.

Some skills operate through APIs such as Skywork Search, Image, or Mureka; therefore, installing a skill does not entail obtaining a free quota for models – a corresponding account or API key is still required.

Tianguo has also made the DeepResearchAgent framework available to the public. The current version of this framework includes components such as Agents, tools, environments, memory systems, optimizers, trajectory tracking mechanisms, and a version control system; it is released under the MIT license and can be used for researching and developing one’s own multi-agent systems.

It is a composable Agent runtime, and not a fully privatized version of the TianGong cloud service.

Open-source status

The TianGong website, its app, the SkyClaw hosting service, as well as the complete office-related tools and business model are not fully open source. Skywork offers access via web, iPhone, and desktop platforms, and its products are also marketed under the Skywork brand both domestically and internationally. On the App Store in China, mobile apps are labeled as “Available only for iPhone” and require iOS 15.0 or later.

Mac computers with Apple chips can run the corresponding version, but mobile apps have not been tested for macOS.

The web version is suitable for in-depth editing and exporting, while the mobile version is ideal for initiating tasks, uploading audio files, and checking progress. Accounts and projects can be synchronized across different devices.
