Kaiber

An AI video platform featuring musical visualization and stylized animations

What is Kaiber?

Kaiber is an AI-based platform for creating images, videos, and audio, designed for musicians, visual artists, social media content teams, and creators. It is particularly good at converting songs, cover images, short videos, and style descriptions into music-themed visuals, animations, and short clips that are synchronized with the rhythm of the music. Additionally, it supports various functions such as text-to-video generation, image-to-video generation, video retouching, and timeline editing.

The early versions of the product were often referred to as Kaiber Superstudio. In the current architecture of 2026, the name Superstudio has been removed; instead, there are three separate workspaces: Canvas, Beat Sync, and Editor. All the materials that are created or uploaded are shared through a Media Library.

Superstudio will still be mentioned in introductions and tutorials, but it should not be considered as a separate product.

Kaiber Canvas

Canvas is an infinite drawing space designed for combining images, videos, audio, prompts, and the resulting outputs. Users can choose to create images, videos, or audio content, select the appropriate models and parameters; the generated content appears next to the canvas, making it easy to create variations, compare different versions, and continue editing.

The cost in Credits is displayed at the top of each Flow in advance. Users can reuse the output as input for the next node, and they can also use Stencils, reference images, keyframes, intensity levels, and camera movement to control the composition.

An infinite canvas is suitable for exploration, but large projects should be given names, organized into groups, and their versions managed promptly.

Text-to-video and image-to-video

Canvas offers a variety of video models that enable the creation of scenes from text or the animation of images as the first frame. Different models excel in achieving realistic motion, stylized effects, keyframe conversion, consistency in character appearance, and authentic sound; users can choose the appropriate model for each scene, without having to transfer materials between various websites.

The semantics and associated costs of the same prompt vary across different models. Figures, hands, text, logos, and physical relationships can still be distorted; for official MVs and advertisements, it is advisable to create short test versions first before deciding on high-resolution, longer-duration versions.

Seedance 2.0 Multimodal Reference

Kaiber currently offers Seedance 2.0 and Fast mode; in the Generate mode, video generation from text or images is possible, while in the Reference mode, images, videos, and audio can be used simultaneously. It supports durations of 4 to 15 seconds, resolution levels from 480p to 4K, as well as various aspect ratios, and native audio can also be enabled.

Reference allows for the upload of up to 9 images, 3 videos with a total duration of 15 seconds, and 3 audio files with a total duration of 15 seconds. The @Image, @Video, and @Audio tags can be used to specify elements such as characters, clothing, camera movements, and rhythm. The official recommendation is to use 3 to 5 images and 1 to 2 videos; too many constraints can lead to conflicts.

Flipbook audio reaction animation

Flipbook is designed specifically to transform static images into stylized animations that change in response to music. Users can upload audio tracks and images, set visual cues, the intensity of movement, the degree to which the animation responds to the audio, as well as up to four different types of camera movements that do not conflict with each other. The length of the animation can vary depending on the song; currently, it can be up to about 8 minutes long.

Long audio files significantly increase the amount of Credits used. The official recommendation is to first extract a 5 to 8 second segment to test the style, motion, and response parameters, before creating the entire song.

Beat Sync – rhythm synchronization

Beat Sync is a standalone workspace that allows users to upload audio files as well as one or more images and videos; it automatically analyzes the rhythm and creates synchronized clips. It supports animating images, breaking down long videos into individual clips, generating similar content, creating multiple versions in bulk, and automatically producing and designing lyrics or subtitles.

Currently, video types such as Instant Cut, Shuffle Cut, Motion Cut, and Scene Cut are available, allowing for adjustments to order and timing. Creator can generate up to 2 versions per batch, while Pro and Visionary can generate up to 10 versions per batch; these options are suitable for music distribution, event promotion, and use in social media platforms.

Music Video Montage

Music Video Montage allows an audio track along with a brief description to be converted directly into a complete music video, without the need to work on each individual frame. The platform analyzes the content, mood, and sound of the song; it offers three modes – Generate, Reference, and Restyle – and it is also possible to include visual references.

Currently, you can choose from time durations of 1, 2, or 3 minutes, as well as aspect ratios of 16:9, 9:16, 1:1, 3:4, or 4:3; resolutions such as 540p and 720p are also available. Multi Shot allows each segment to contain multiple shots, thereby adding visual variety to longer videos.

For automated results, it is still necessary to check the meaning of the lyrics, the timing, and any repetitions of shots.

Video Restyle and video editing

Video Restyle allows users to modify the clothing, lighting, weather, background, era, materials, and artistic style of existing videos according to given instructions. It also integrates models such as Grok Imagine; it can process videos in 720p resolution with a duration of up to 8 seconds while preserving the original audio, and is used for creating animated versions, cyberpunk styles, changing outfits, replacing backgrounds, and adding musical visual effects.

Redrawing involves reinterpreting the characters and objects; it is not possible to ensure that clothing logos, facial features, and actual products remain unchanged. When working with videos of customers or actors, permission for generative editing must be obtained.

Editor timeline editor

Editor is used to combine the results of Canvas and Beat Sync into a complete video; it allows for the arrangement and cropping of shots, the overlaying of audio, the addition of transitions, text, and subtitles, as well as exporting the video in different social media formats. Creator and higher tiers offer unlimited timeline edits, while Starter includes only one editing timeline.

Editor is suitable for simple post-production tasks, but complex color correction, mixing, visual effects, and broadcast delivery still require professional software. Before exporting, it is necessary to check the volume, subtitle safety area, frame rate, and image aspect ratio.

Automatic music scoring and looping videos

Auto Score Video can analyze videos and generate synchronized music; text instructions can also be used to determine the style of the background music. Loop Video creates transition sequences at the beginning and end of a video, enabling the creation of seamless loops suitable for use on social media platforms, as background visuals, and in live presentations.

Automatic music is still subject to the platform’s licensing and creation rules; before it is released commercially, it is necessary to determine the scope of its use and to check for any issues such as frame skips or audio glitches in the looping sections.

Images, audio, and custom models

Kaiber not only generates videos, but it also integrates various image and audio models. A subscription or a Day Pass allows access to all of these image, video, and audio models; it also enables users to train their own AI models as well as to enlarge images and videos.

The Stencil in Canvas functions similarly to ControlNet, allowing the shape of a reference image to be applied to the new output.

For custom models, training data must be uploaded, and the user must possess the appropriate copyright and permission to use images. The quality of training, the scope for commercial use, and data processing shall be determined based on the specific model and plan.

Media Library

All images, videos, and audio files that are created or uploaded are stored in the Media Library, and can be accessed directly from Canvas, Beat Sync, and Editor. Deleting an image or video does not remove the finished projects that were created using it; however, deleting an entire project eliminates all its contents and results, and those items cannot be recovered.

Flex usage on a pay-as-you-go basis

Users do not need to subscribe; by purchasing a Credit Pack, they can use a limited set of images and video models through the Flex option. Flex is suitable for occasional use, but it does not include all the advanced features such as advanced modeling tools, training options, zoom functionality, additional Canvas options, or high-concurrency capabilities that are available with subscriptions.

The Credit Pack is available to all users, with the specific size and price of each pack being displayed dynamically. Subscribers generally enjoy lower costs for creation and additional purchases.

Credits rules

Credits are used to create images, videos, and audio; the amount consumed depends on the model used, the length of the video, and the specific settings selected. The cost will be displayed on the submit button. Credits do not expire, and any new credits obtained through subscription renewal are added to the existing balance; unused credits can be carried over to subsequent months.

Cancellation of the subscription does not wipe out the remaining balance; the leftover Credits can still be used in the Flex model, and they remain in the account after re-subscription. If generation fails, the Credits are automatically refunded.

Compared to many platforms that reset their accounts on a monthly basis, this is a significant billing feature of Kaiber.

Upgrade, downgrade, and cancellation

The upgrade takes effect immediately, and the corresponding Credits are added right away; downgrading or cancellation takes effect after the current cycle ends.

Users can manage it on their account page.

The 5-day trial will automatically renew to Creator, so this needs to be kept in mind separately.

Commercial use and copyright

Creator, Pro, and Visionary are explicitly designed for commercial creation and include commercial usage rights; the licensing terms for Starter and Flex are subject to those specified on the purchase page and in the current terms.

The commercial rights do not cover music, videos, characters, trademarks, or reference art that users are not authorized to upload.

Music video publishers must ensure that they have the necessary permissions for the master audio file, the lyrics and music, the performance footage, the cover image, as well as any reference images. AI-generated content may also resemble works or characters owned by third parties, and it needs to be reviewed before being released.

Supported platforms and APIs

  • Web applications for desktop and mobile browsers;
  • Canvas, Beat Sync, and Editor workspaces;
  • Unify the Media Library.

At present, Kaiber mainly offers a web page creation interface; the standard packages do not include general developer APIs as part of their features. Companies that need automated, batch-based interfaces or private integrations should contact Visionary directly – web page requests cannot be considered official APIs.

GitHub and the open-source status

The Kaiber platform and its core generation services are not open-source projects; there is no publicly available complete source code or a version that can be deployed independently. Some of the basic models integrated into it may have public source codes, but this does not mean that Kaiber Canvas, Beat Sync, Editor, and the billing system are open-source.

Restrictions and Precautions

  • Long audio files, high-definition videos, and advanced models consume Credits rapidly; a full MV should first be tested using short clips.
  • Multi-model integration also means that costs, output sizes, and content constraints are not uniform.
  • AI-generated videos may still exhibit issues such as drifting characters, incorrect hand movements, flickering, and distorted text.
  • BeatSync automatically matches the rhythm, but it does not necessarily understand the narrative of the lyrics; the final video still requires manual editing.
