Get Notes is an AI-based note-taking and personal knowledge management tool developed by the Get team. In 2026 the product was officially upgraded and renamed “Get Brain”; the original Get Notes app can be updated to use this new version without the need for a re-download.

The original account, notes, recordings, knowledge base, and remaining membership duration remain unchanged.

The brain does not merely store written notes; rather, it creates a personal AI memory system based on functions such as recording, understanding, retrieving information, and creating content. Users can speak, record meetings, take pictures, save links, or import audio and video files, and the AI handles the transcription, organization, and summarization of this information.

1. Voice stenography

Once the user expresses their ideas, to-do items, diary entries, or a draft orally, the system converts these into text in real time or after the recording is completed. It allows for the correction of proper nouns, the removal of unnecessary words, restructuring of the text, and polishing of the wording. Compared to recording first and then transcribing manually, voice transcription is a better method for capturing scattered thoughts.

The free version allows for recordings of up to 10 minutes per clip; members with a premium account can record up to 1 hour, while those using the expert version can record up to 2 hours. Transcription can still be affected by background noise, accents, multiple speakers talking at once, and industry-specific terminology; it is therefore necessary to listen to the original audio in order to grasp the important details.

2. Recording meetings, classes, and content on mobile phones

Meeting recordings can be used to organize the speeches, key points, conclusions, and actions to take; the classroom mode is suitable for turning explanations into study notes.

Existing interviews, courses, podcasts, and video materials can be imported, and AI will extract the audio to generate text and summaries. The free version allows 600 minutes of import per month, the premium version provides 6000 minutes, while the expert version offers 30,000 minutes.

Once the quota reaches its limit, further imports will be suspended, but the already imported content will remain.

Importing third-party audio and video content does not grant the right to copy or adapt it. Before sharing transcripts, course summaries, or derived works publicly, it is necessary to verify the licensing terms, scope of use permitted, and rules of the platform where they are to be published.

4. Images and intelligent book scanning

After taking a photo or uploading an image, AI identifies the text and content within it and organizes them into structured notes. Smart Book Capture is ideal for saving key points, annotations, and paragraphs from printed books, thereby reducing the need for manual entry.

Multiple images can also be combined and organized.

Shooting at an angle, reflections, handwritten text, complex tables, and low-resolution images can reduce the accuracy of recognition. The content of books is protected by copyright; the rules regarding permissible excerpts and the scanning of entire books, as well as their public dissemination, vary.

5. One-click link saving

After the user pastes a web page or a content link, the system reads the accessible text and creates concise notes for easy searching and review later. The free version allows up to 10 knowledge bases, with a total storage capacity of 30 GB; subscribers can have an unlimited number of knowledge bases, with a storage capacity of 500 GB.

The expert version has a capacity of 1TB. A large knowledge base does not guarantee accurate responses; searches may miss certain information or misinterpret the context. When key facts are mentioned in the responses, it is necessary to refer to the original notes.

The “memory bank” treats records, timelines, and personal preferences as memory assets that can be accessed, thereby helping AI to understand the topics that users are interested in over time and to identify connections across different periods and fields. The “Results” feature allows you to organize an idea, several recordings, or a set of related notes into a document that can be further edited. It enables the creation of posts for social media, longer articles for official accounts, speech content, and sharing cards, while also allowing you to save different versions of such documents. Creating such works is a feature reserved for members; free users can access the option to do so, but they need to upgrade their account in order to use it.

AI can help create a draft, but it cannot automatically handle issues related to fact-checking, originality, permission for quotes, and compliance with publication rules. When converting private records into public content, it is also necessary to check whether they contain other people’s names, details of meetings, contact information, or confidential projects.

Writing Expert Team

The Expert version offers a writing process that involves 8 AI-driven components, covering topic selection, research, writing, fact-checking, review, style adjustment, formatting, and knowledge storage. It utilizes the user’s existing knowledge to develop vague ideas into complete works, and saves the results in the “My Achievements” section.

The “fact-checking” carried out by the team of experts is an AI-driven process and does not constitute an authoritative audit by a third party. Formal publications, brand launches, and topics involving high risks still require manual editing and review.

The Expert version raises the import limit, the duration of each recording, and the capacity of the knowledge base to higher levels, making it suitable for users who need to generate content on a continuous basis and have a large amount of material to work with.

Multiple voiceprint and recording cards

Voice recognition, supported by the brain-based technology, allows for the identification of the speaker in recorded notes; it can remember the voices of up to 5 people, enabling automatic differentiation of speakers later on. The recording card supports recognition in 30 languages including Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean, and can record calls, meetings, and thoughts, with the ability to mark key points with just one click during recording.

The official recording card claims to offer a battery life of around 35 hours and allows for offline recording; the recorded content can be synced to an app where it can then be transcribed and organized. The free version permits 600 minutes of transcription per month, while the premium and expert versions have no limit on the amount of time that can be transcribed.

Voice prints are a type of biometric information; explicit consent must be obtained before storing someone else’s voice print.

Open APIs and access for developers

Get Notes provides an OpenAPI for knowledge bases, enabling the integration of AI search and content retrieval capabilities into chatbots, internal knowledge assistants, Dify, or Koushi. The search interface supports the generation of responses based on notes, files, and followed content, as well as features such as deep thinking, conversation history, streaming results, and citations.

The recall interface returns relevant content snippets and similarity scores.

The current development documentation indicates that the API is in a beta phase without any review process; it is available free of charge during this period, and its specifications may change. Once it becomes fully commercialized, fees may apply. It is not recommended to use this API in commercial products during the beta stage. The limits are 2 requests per second and 5,000 requests per day, and a single query allows the specification of one knowledge base only.

API keys must be kept securely and must not be uploaded to public code repositories; if a leak is suspected, they should be regenerated immediately.
